JOHANNES MENNEWEGER

CEO & FOUNDER OF MODULUX

Johannes Menneweger has been working with large-scale projection since 1998, including spatial staging and projections onto architecture and objects. His first experiences with analogue slide projections led him to found the light-art collective Lichttapete in 2001. Experimenting with what was then still analogue technology immediately fascinated him, and he began covering entire rooms with projections. His work is his passion.

PROJECTIONS & VISUAL DESIGN

We design and create visual experiences for stages, spaces and facades through projections, LED walls and live visuals. From the initial idea to technical implementation.

Projection mapping & 3D mapping shows

We create moving imagery for architecture and objects. Video mapping adapts the content to the shape of the projection surface. The resulting multimedia shows combine visual storytelling, projection and sound in an audiovisual narrative.

Facade & large-scale projection

Analogue PANI slide projections and digital video projections transform buildings and large surfaces into visual environments. Design and technical planning respond to the architecture, surroundings and occasion.

Spatial projection, panoramas & object mapping

Panoramic environments, 360° projections and object mapping create immersive spaces for events. The imagery reflects the event theme and incorporates the venue. Interactive video mapping can also make guests part of the visual world.

Live visuals for festivals and events

Live visuals bring moving images to stages, architecture and festival spaces. We develop visual content and present it through live mapping and event projections.

LED walls & visual content

We develop content for LED walls and operate their visuals at festivals, concerts and events. Animations and live visuals are tailored to the stage screens, music and show sequence.

Stage design & visual scenography

We develop visual concepts for stage settings, bringing projections, LED surfaces and moving content together in a cohesive production. Design and technical planning respond to the stage, the performing acts and the character of the event.

Concept development & technical installation planning

We develop audiovisual installation concepts and plan their technical implementation, from selecting and positioning projection and video equipment to integrating it into the space. Architecture, use and requirements such as heritage conservation inform the planning from the outset.

Content production & motion graphics

We develop visual concepts, 2D and 3D animations, and motion graphics for projections and audiovisual shows. Our motion design connects imagery and movement with music and the projection surfaces, from the initial concept to the finished show content.

Audio production for shows

We produce audio for projection shows and audiovisual productions. Sound and moving images are coordinated to form a cohesive narrative.
