REFRACTION 2 - TRIPLE AV INSTALLATION
Für das Luza Festival 2019 in Faro (Portugal) wurde TOFA eingeladen, die nächste Stufe seines ursprünglichen Kunstwerks "Refraction" zu zeigen, dieses mal mit "REFRACTION 2" - einer raumfüllenden Dreifachprojektion auf Spiegelfolien als audiovisuell begehbare Installation.
Für den Aufbau verwendete er zwei gespiegelte Projektionen, um auf den reflektierenden Boden zu projezieren und eine dritte Projektion an der Wand, um eine Fusion zwischen den ursprünglichen minimalistischen Animationen und ihren reproduzierenden Lichtbrechungen herzustellen
.
Die Mapping-Projektion erzeugte eine Verschmelzung der überlappenden Schichten und des reflektierenden Raums selbst und wurde so zu einer einnehmenden Collage von verformten Visuals.
Besonders die Holzdecke schuf eine hervorragende Atmosphäre im Raum und lud die Festivalbesucher dazu ein, in diesem ungewöhnlich tiefen und warmen Lichtspiel aus Brechungen und linearen Grafiken zu posen und zu verweilen.
Durch die direkte Projektion auf Spiegelfolie wurden die sauber gerenderten Grafiken vermisvcht mit den Reflektionen im Raum und so zu einer neuen analogen Ästhetik, die das Gefühl einer Unterwasserwelt mit dunklen Brechungen und schönen Lichtdeformationen erzeugte.
REFRACTION 2 - TRIPLE AV INSTALLATION
For the Luza Festival 2019 in Faro (Portugal) TOFA was invited to show the next stage of his original artpiece "Refraction", this time with "REFRACTION 2" - a room-filling triple projection on mirror foils as an audiovisual accessible installation.
In the setup he used two mirrored projections to project onto the reflective floor and a third projection on the wall to create a fusion between the original minimalist animations and their reproductive refractions.
The mapping projection created an amalgamation of the overlapping layers and the reflective space itself, thus becoming an engaging collage of deformed motiongraphics.
The wooden ceiling in particular created an excellent atmosphere in the room and invited festival visitors to pose and linger in this unusually deep and warm play of light made up of refractions and linear graphics.
Due to the direct projection onto mirror foil, the cleanly rendered graphics were mixed with the reflections in the room and delivered a new analog aesthetic that created the feeling of an underwater world with dark refractions and beautiful light deformations.
